On the second day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in ‘Expoforum’ Viacheslav Fetisov, State Duma Deputy and Head of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Nature, spoke about the importance of preserving the environment.
‘We are beginning to understand that ecology, nature, and biodiversity are essential to the existence of our country. Our children and our grandchildren need this. And we will do everything in our power to rectify the situation with the accumulated damage. We have already said many times and with time we understand more and more that water will become the main economic, political and human resource in the nearest future’, Viacheslav Fetisov noted.
Let us recall, the XXV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is taking place from June 15 to 18. One of the largest and most significant business events in the world for a quarter of a century has earned the status of the world's leading platform for discussing key issues of the global economy. On the first day the SPIEF brought more than 234 billion rubles of investment to the Northern capital. Two more days and a huge number of professional sessions and speakers lie ahead.
