Women and Sustainable Development

One of the 17 Global Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 is to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. Involvement of women in civil, political, economic and social spheres is an important element of building a harmonious society.
Undoubtedly, education, health care and social services cannot be imagined without women. Tutors, teachers, professors, doctors, all of them are the basis that allows our society to fully exist. And women's contribution in this sphere is invaluable.
In terms of social economic development, women not only participate, but also develop new ideas and innovations. Nowadays we meet women more and more often among successful entrepreneurs, heads of financial organizations, state and political structures. Moreover, it should be noted that key international economic organizations, such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Trade Organization, are now headed by women.
In the current context of increasing anthropogenic pressure on the environment, decreasing natural resources, biodiversity and climate change, building an efficient, reliable, equitable economic basis for the existence of society is a fundamental global challenge in the longer term. Successful solution of this difficult task is impossible to imagine without gender equality, which helps to create new products, services and build long-term, successful and sustainable business.
