Sustainable Economy and Responsible Finance in the Arctic
September 30, THU

15:00 - 16:00
Why is sustainable development in the Arctic so important? Sustainable financing in the Arctic: what are the prospects for the emergence of white finance?
In May 2021, the Russian Federation assumed the presidency of the Arctic Council for two years.
The Arctic region is more exposed to climate change than any other. Its preservation and development require huge investments and a special approach to accounting for risks, including financial risks; so it is necessary to create unified rules for responsible financing in the region.
These issues will be discussed by representatives of the Arctic Council member states, businesses operating in the region, and the scientific community.
